About pldb

pldb indexes the title and abstract of every paper published at the main programming languages venues, back to each venue's first year. It links out to the publisher; it does not host papers.

Coverage

Top tier: POPL (from 1973), PLDI (from 1979, counting its years as the SIGPLAN Symposium on Compiler Construction), OOPSLA (from 1986) and ICFP (from 1996), including their PACMPL issues. Further venues are listed on the venues page. Workshops, companion volumes and posters are left out.

Sources

• dblp for the paper list, authors and DOIs (CC0).
• SIGPLAN OpenTOC for ACM's own abstracts and for papers too new for dblp. OpenTOC links give free full-text access.
• OpenAlex (CC0) and Semantic Scholar for the remaining abstracts.

Abstracts remain the copyright of their authors and publishers.

Search syntax

• gradual typing: papers with both words (stemmed, so types matches typing).
• "separation logic": an exact phrase.
• author:Leroy, title:egraph, abstract:coq: search one field.
• -java: exclude a word.
• Press / anywhere to jump to the search box.
